Competition Terms and Conditions
1. Introduction
By participating in the Retreat Centre Architecture Competition (the “Competition”), participants agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. These Terms and Conditions apply to all submissions and are intended to protect both the participants and the organizers.
2. Eligibility
Participation in the Competition is open to all currently enrolled architecture students or recent graduates (within the last year) from accredited institutions. Employees of Dino Arturo Celotti, his affiliates, partners, and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate.
3. Submission Guidelines
Each participant or team must submit a design proposal, concept, mood boards, and layout plan as specified in the competition brief.
All submissions must be the original work of the participant(s) and must not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of any third party.
4. Intellectual Property Rights
By submitting an entry, participants grant Dino Arturo Celotti, his affiliates, and partners a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, and non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, publish, distribute, and display the submission for any purpose, including but not limited to marketing, promotional activities, and publication in any media.
Participants agree that Dino Arturo Celotti, his affiliates, and partners are free to use any ideas, concepts, or know-how contained in the submissions for any purpose whatsoever, without further compensation to the participant(s).
5. Prizes
Three winning submissions will receive financial prizes as outlined in the competition brief.
The winning participant(s) may be invited to provide further services to refine or adjust their design. Any additional work will be subject to a separate agreement between Dino Arturo Celotti, his affiliates, and partners and the participant(s).
6. Liability and Indemnity
Dino Arturo Celotti, his affiliates, and partners will not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury of any kind arising from or in connection with the Competition or the use of any submission.
Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless Dino Arturo Celotti, his affiliates, partners, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to the participant’s submission or participation in the Competition.
7. Privacy
Personal information collected from participants will be used solely for the purposes of administering the Competition and will not be shared with third parties without the participant’s consent, except as necessary for the administration of the Competition or as required by law.
8. General
Dino Arturo Celotti, his affiliates, and partners reserve the right to cancel, modify, or suspend the Competition at their discretion.
These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the participants and Dino Arturo Celotti, his affiliates, and partners with respect to the Competition and supersede any prior or contemporaneous agreements, communications, or understandings, whether written or oral.
9. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Portugal, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
By entering the Competition, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
